Meigamma

Barbara and Giuseppe Pusceddu's passion for viticulture began in 2006, when they decided to plant a vineyard of Cannonau in Villasimius. The name Meigamma, which in Sardinian means “an afternoon nap after lunch,” reflects their philosophy of slow, natural living, a principle that guides their production of wine, olive oil, honey, and vegetables.

From the outset, they embraced environmentally respectful farming, avoiding pesticides and herbicides in order to express the character of the land as faithfully as possible. The same philosophy extends to the cellar: the grapes are hand-harvested and vinified without selected yeasts, fining agents, filtration, or the addition of sulphites until bottling.

The estate is located just 600 metres from the sea, on sandy soils that impart a distinct Mediterranean character to the wines. The Guyot-trained native varieties include Muristellu, Nasco, Nuragus, Carignano, and Cannonau, producing wines that reveal new nuances of their terroir with each vintage.
