Riccardo Danielli, owner and vigneron of the estate that bears his name, inherited from his grandparents a deep passion for wine and farming. Approaching the age of forty, in 2019 Riccardo chose to revive ancient grape varieties, giving them new life through organic farming practices. Having been taught by his grandfather from an early age, Riccardo understood the importance of healthy soils, convinced that this is a prerequisite for honest and authentic wines.
Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, everything is done as naturally as possible, allowing nature to follow its course. No chemical products or aggressive herbicides are used; instead, biodynamic preparations are employed to restore vitality to the soil. In the cellar, Riccardo carefully oversees spontaneous fermentations and carries out no synthetic or corrective winemaking practices.
The estate’s terroir is composed mainly of clay soils and Pliocene marine fossils, set within a rolling hillside landscape where sun and sea once came together to shape a unique environment particularly suited to viticulture. Riccardo Danielli’s wines are the result of hard work, revival, and a genuine return to both family and local traditions.
